Proud Lion / Proud Sponsor Program

This program is focused on building relationships, which emphasize teamwork. It
develops organizational skills needed to take a leadership role in the club. The club
president with the advice of the membership chairman may assign a Proud Sponsor
Lion to assist a new member through the five (5) tasks listed below.
"P_R_O_U_D" stands for:
Participation
Recognition
Obligation
Understanding
Dedication
Proud Lion Award
To earn a Proud Lion Award, you must accomplish the five tasks listed below. Each
new member is encouraged to accomplish the five tasks within six (6) months from
beginning of membership.
Proud Sponsor Award
To earn the Proud sponsor Award, a Lion must accompany a new member as he/she
accomplishes the five tasks listed below.

- Participation in a club service or fund raising activity
- Introduce a new prospective member to the club
- Make a visit another club and secure visitation slip
- Attend a zone, region, district, multiple district meeting, or international
convention and report back to the club
