| A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT NAYLEEN WERNER, FULLERTON LIONS BREAKFAST CLUB Lions Clubs International are known as Knights of the Blind. Their efforts in Campaign SightFirst and now Campaign SightFirst II have raised millions of dollars to fight preventable and reversible blindness around the world. Our club is very proud to be a significant contributor to this crusade. Locally we collect used eyeglasses and hearing aids which are refurbished and given to patients in other countries through our Lions Clinics. We also arrange for examinations and prescriptions for those in our own community who are unable to finance the care themselves. This year we are sponsoring a Kite Show/Contest to encourage creativity and family fun in our community. We're also serving food at Fullerton Railway Days to raise money for charity. We appreciate our many sponsors and the community for supporting our efforts. |
